Lynne Jarvis, who is part of the Compassionate Communities project, said over a series of public meetings, they had identified the need for a funeral service that people could afford, and which offered more options.

The service would be called Tender Funerals Tasmania, and it would effectively be a branch of Tender Funerals of Port Kembla, NSW.
