Charles is Principal Policy and Project Manager, Cemeteries & Crematoria NSW.
Charles has been with Cemeteries & Crematoria NSW since March 2016 and has worked in a number of senior governance and public policy roles in Local, State and Federal Government, the NSW Parliament and national peak industry bodies in superannuation and primary industries.
Charles has degrees in Arts/Anthropology and Economics (University of Sydney), a Master of Politics and Public Policy (Macquarie) and a Master of Environmental Management (UNSW). He is also a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
As the project manager for part 4, Charles’ presentation will provide a progress report and on post commencement experiences and clarifications of aspects of the new interment rights system under the Cemeteries and Crematoria Act 2013.
The presentation will focus on various matters for clarification with the new interment rights system including questions which have been posed to CCNSW. The transition period for implementation of the interment rights system is scheduled to conclude in June 2019.
There will also be information on further activity which CCNSW is taking to assist cemetery operators.
The learning outcomes: development of further understanding of the application of the legislation and regulation.
